Parent Education
Parenting. It's the hardest job. It's also the most rewarding.
Children do not come with instructions, so appropriate parenting skills must be learned. Different challenges arise at different ages, and most parents feel ill equipped and scared. Parenting education and counseling are offered to any family experiencing concern over parenting issues. The Parent Education Group provides an atmosphere of acceptance, where individuals and couples can get help to resolve parenting issues and/or strengthen their knowledge and understanding of parenting techniques. Parenting groups offered focus on support and techniques training while encouraging participation and sharing of experiences. Parenting topics include child development, discipline methods, nurturing behaviors, nutrition and more.
Currently, the parenting group meets on Wednesdays from 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. For more information about Parent Education or if you have specific questions or concerns, please feel free to call Wings of Hope Family Crisis Services at 405.372.9922.
